New json linter is putting a caret on the exact place of. This comes with a problem when the line is very long.
I believe you had your reasons for the way it was implemented. I got some feedback from my UX team and didn’t know what to tell them

They are saying:
Ideally we would have similar indication as in previous CodeMirror version (even though there’s gutter padding and linter always has only a single error). Is there a way to easily achieve this?
Another feedback that I received was that the caret indicator is not easy to target with mouse (too small). I tried to enlarge it in css, but the mouse target size didn’t change.
