I am writing a paper that references CodeMirror and CodeMirror collab. I have those two entries in the screenshot below. I want to make sure that these “author=” and “year=” for those two are reasonable. I took the year from Wikipedia and also the first commit on the repo but it often is the case that it may not be the time it got to a point of standing on its own. Please let me know what you (Marijn) think.
The first release of the collab system was late 2020, so that’s probably a better year for that. If you want to refer to CodeMirror in general, the 2007 reference looks correct. If it’s the version 6 rewrite, ‘Marijn Haverbeke, Adrian Heine, and contributors’ with a year of 2018 would be more appropriate.
