Is there a way we can ignore the whitespaces in the Codemirror diffing tool?
No, such a thing does not currently exist (and would probably be non-trivial to implement, since the current merge addon assumes unchanged chunks are char-for-char identical in a few places).

Nope. If you report bugs, there’s a good chance they’ll get fixed, as if by magic, by your friendly, conscientious maintainer. Feature requests however, unless they are trivial, require cold hard cash to get anywhere. In other words, you could email me to discuss a consulting arrangement.
